Founder’s Message

Nursing isn’t a vocation or profession. It’s a calling!

And that’s doubly true for postpartum caregivers.

It’s a tough job, but the rewards are unmatched in any other career. You are serving the physical and emotional needs of your patients and their families at a time when they feel frightened, vulnerable, and uncertain. When they don’t know how their lives might change over the next few months.

Pregnancy Requires Holistic Care

A pregnant woman needs more than the standard medical care provided during regular OBGYN check-ups. They need wholistic care that includes mother, baby and the entire family and support system. Wholistic care that integrates medical, nutritional, physical movement, home environment, psychological, and emotional aspects before, during and after delivery. Wholistic care that addresses concerns about health insurance, financial issues, legal issues, caring for other children in the family, household chores, career disruption, and fashion. No, I’m not being frivolous. It makes a difference.

Safety & Comfort of Your Home

And the best location for this additional level of care is the safety and comfort of your own home.

That’s why I founded Necessary Nurse® back in 2019.

Our Mission is to Make Sure You Feel Comfortable & Competent

It’s perfectly normal to feel a bit nervous as a new mother welcoming a newborn baby to their first home. Our mission is to make sure you feel comfortable and competent in your new role.

We listen carefully to your unique needs and concerns. Then we create an individualized plan, in conjunction with your OBGYN. Our goal is to create a solid foundation for you and your family during the last month before your baby is due. And then we make sure you stand strong with one-on-one support during those first crucial months after your baby is born.

It’s Our Privilege to Serve You

Necessary Nurse is a place where I can contribute – my nursing expertise, teaching experience, business experience, life experience as a caregiver and a military veteran, along with my care and compassion – every single day.

It has been my joy and privilege to serve our clients and their families over the past few years.

I hope you’ll consider the many benefits you and your baby can gain from a postpartum concierge nurse experience.

Sincerely,

Candice Kemp, RN, MSN(c)
